GGB to open office in China

GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, will now have a sales office in Shanghai to serve its customers in mainland China and Taiwan. The office is scheduled to open March 1.

“China is a very important market for us,” explained Joe Fults, GGB vice president of business development, in announcing the new office. “Our customers with a presence there have been asking for the same level of service that we provide in Europe and the Americas.

“Our global business strategy is to provide superior technical and commercial support wherever our customers have operations,” he continued. “We are now in a position to give our Asian customers the benefit of our more than 100 years of experience in plain bearing technology, vast application knowledge, design expertise and custom solutions.”
