Filament-wound bearings handbook from GGB

GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, has issued a 46-page designer’s handbook for its line of filament wound, self-lubricating bearings for off-road vehicles, agricultural, automotive and construction equipment, and other high-load, low-wear applications. Including GAR-FIL®, GAR-MAX®, High-Strength GAR-MAX®, MLG™ and MEGALIFE® XT in both inch and metric dimensions, these bearings combine the lubricating properties of filled PTFE with the high strength and stability of an oriented glass fiber wound structure. Covered in the handbook are general characteristics, material descriptions, properties, design data, performance, installation and machining, standard products, data for bearing design calculations and other GGB bearing materials.
